UC Davis junior Brent Booth tied a course record at Alister MacKenzie Golf Course in Sacramento this past weekend on his way to qualifying for the U.S. Public Links Championship in dramatic fashion, while redshirt freshman Dennis Carson captured the Vallejo City Championship at Blue Rock Springs Golf Club.
W. Tennis. Schuler Receives NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship
Randi Schuler, who recently concluded her UC Davis women's tennis career, has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The highly competitive honor is handed out annually to just 174 student-athletes throughout the nation. For Schuler, it's the latest achievement in an Aggie career that has featured excellence on and off the tennis court.

UC Davis freshman Brock Bennett finished 12th in the javelin Sunday at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon with a mark of 191 feet, 6 inches, his second-best throw of the year.
Track. Wilright Races Strong at USA Outdoor Championships
UC Davis standout Alex Wilright finished sixth in his semifinal heat of the 400-meter hurdles in 50.73 seconds Saturday at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon, facing an elite field of hurdlers vying for berths to the IAAF World Championships.

UC Davis' Alex Wilright finished fourth in his preliminary race of the 400-meter hurdles at the 2009 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Oregon on Friday afternoon, qualifying for Saturday's semifinals. His semifinal race is scheduled to be shown on ESPN at 5:24 p.m.

A total of 24 UC Davis student-athletes have earned Big West Academic All-Conference honors for the 2009 spring season, it was announced Friday by the conference office.
W. Water Polo. Water Polo Posts 12 ACWPC All-Academic Winners
A total of 12 UC Davis student-athletes - six men and six women - were selected for 2008-09 All-Academic awards by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches, it was announced by executive director Bryan Kimbell. Furthermore, the Aggie women's team was honored collectively for its overall grade-point average.
Track. Ostrom Ties For Seventh At Junior Nationals
UC Davis' Ethan Ostrom cleared 15 feet, 11 inches in the pole vault on Thursday afternoon, tying for seventh at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.
