In the main event, Brandon Vera and Jon Jones will have to make the light heavyweight limit of 205 pounds. Also worth watching will be how James Irvin, moving down from light heavyweight, looks at 185 pounds as he weighs in for his middleweight debut against Alessio Sakara.

Jake Shields just wrapped up being a Team Liddell assistant coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, and some have wondered whether being on the show has taken away from some of his training time for his upcoming title defense against Dan Henderson on CBS. However, when MMA Fighting spoke to Shields earlier this week, the middleweight champion said it was more of a blessing because he got to train with some of the best fighters in Las Vegas while working on the show.

Andrei Arlovski will return to the cage for the first time in almost a year on May 15 when he takes on Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, and he says he hopes that fight is the first step toward getting a couple of rematches with the two guys who knocked him out in 2009, Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers.
Bellator has finalized its lightweight tournament bracket, scheduled to begin on April 8 in Hollywood, Fla.
Newly signed pickup Roger Huerta will kick off the season two tournament, squaring off against unbeaten Chad Hinton (6-0) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Bellator signed the prized free agent Huerta (20-3-1) earlier this week.
Huerta is the first big-name free agent to sign with Bellator. A former top contender in the UFC's 155-pound division, Huerta fought his way to a 6-2 record in the UFC before moving on.
